Everything you need to know about our friendle pen pal program

Once you sign up, we match your child with a friendle pal and send out the first introduction letter. We may include fun activities, and gentle guidance to help keep the friendship flowing. Your child writes their reply on the template provided. Once complete an adult takes a photo of the letter and email’s it to us at letters@friendle.co.nz and we take care of the rest.

Friendle Mail is designed for children aged roughly 5–12. Younger children may enjoy writing with a little support, while older children often love expressing themselves more independently. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to guide you on what might suit your child best.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All letters are sent through Friendle Mail. Children never share personal details directly with their letter pal. We review letters to ensure they’re safe, kind, and age-appropriate.
